Botanical Whiskey is a wild take on whiskey, a brand new style bringing together Kentucky and California passions. Truly hand-made with care using the highest quality ingredients in super small batches. Deep interests in American Whiskey and a love for northern California’s natural lands inspired Dérive.

Tasing Dérive you’ll notice a bright lively nose with citrus and subtle floral notes. As it opens up you’ll find subtle spice and light herbs. Once sipped you’re brought back to classic American Whiskey with no shortage of smoked oak and light banana notes. The long umami finish allows the botanicals to reemerge carrying you through to the next sip. At 48% abv it’s bold but drinks smooth. We take a non-hierarchical approach to enjoying, whether in classic whiskey cocktails, neat or on the rocks Dérive adds an extra level and is truly a culinary approach to appreciating whiskey.

Created by Charlie Leese, a San Francisco artist, whiskey enthusiast, and forager. He is often found hiking and biking on Mt. Tam and enjoys exploring the Sonoma and Mendocino coast.
